Could you please tell us about yourself? I was born in Afyon in 1966. I graduated from Ege University, Faculty of Engineering, Textile Department in 1988. While I have been continuing my education, I started to work in the textile sector in 1986. I left my profession in 2003 and found myself at Tüzüm Kızılcan Ceramic Studio after two months. I experienced a highly important learning process until I bought my first kiln in 2006. I am a self-taught ceramic artist however I must say that Tüzüm Kızılcan Studio was an exclusive studio and it was more than a university. I know for a fact that we all benefited a great deal from this environment where theory and practice juxtaposed, where everything from artistic perspective to creating an exhibition was experienced and questioned. As I mentioned above, I set up my own studio in 2006 and initiated my first porcelain works. I went through a 6-7 month period, when I was unable to create anything. → bakınız pdf |
